“Daughter of the Pirate King” is the first book in the series of the same name by author Tricia Levenseller.

Daughter of the Pirate King” tells the story of Alosa, the daughter of the Pirate King. She was raised and trained by him to take her place at the head of his kingdom and faithfully serve his interests.

Alosa has extraordinary powers. She inherited them from her mother, who was a siren. Alosa knows how to enchant men with the power of her song and deceive their senses so that they obey her unconditionally. Since she is only half siren, her powers are limited and she has to “recharge” herself regularly by immersing herself in sea water. But this poses great dangers, because then her monstrous side, which she inherited from the Siren Queen, tries to gain the upper hand, and Alosa runs the risk of losing all sanity.

The princess is trained by her cruel father to become a true weapon. The pirate king sends her on a secret mission to find all the pieces of an ancient map that leads to the hidden treasure of the Sirens. Alosa must infiltrate the ship of one of the cruelest pirates at sea and make everyone believe she is just a prisoner.

Riden’s ship

During her time aboard Riden’s ship, she gets to know his first mate. Rider is also assigned a mission and must question Alosa about her father’s secret port. The two try to elicit information from each other, not realizing that their companionship has become very comfortable.

As Alosa and Rider are torn between loyalty to their family and their true selves, things go seriously awry. The two are forced to work together and find a way to save all the lives that depend on the mercy of the pirate king.
