Crowns of Nyaxia by Carissa Broadbend
The series consists of 6 books. It is set in a world of vampires, gods, magic and monsters.
The first two books tell the story of Oraya, a human raised by the king of vampires, who takes part in a deadly tournament organized by the goddess of death, Nyaxia. In order to survive, the heroine must enter into a very risky alliance with a dangerous rival.
Today, the “Crowns of Nyaxia” series includes “The Serpent and the Wings of Night”,” “The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King” and two stand-alone books.
The main “Crowns of Nyaxia” series will comprise a total of six books, divided into three duologies.
Books 1 and 2 are the Nightborn Duet, following the House of Night.
Books 3 and 4 are the Shadowborn Duet, following the House of Shadow.
Books 5 and 6 are the Bloodborn Duet, following the House of Blood.
In addition to these main six books, there are two stand-alone books:
1. Six Scorched Roses (novella)
2. Slaying the Vampire Conqueror (standalone).
The suggested reading order is:
1. The Serpent and the Wings of Night – The first book in the series is an introduction to the world.
2. Six Scorched Roses (novella) – This standalone novella introduces some characters that will be important later, but is optional.
3. The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King – The second book in the series also features the main characters from the novella as secondary characters.
