Victoria Aveyard

Victoria Aveyard Debut’s novel, Red Queen, from the fantasy series of the same name, was published in 2014. The main character’s world Mer Barrow is divided by the color of blood – red for commoners and silver for nobles. Her blood is red, but suddenly she turns out to have extraordinary powers. After gaining a place in the royal court, she must fight her way through enmity, cunning, intrigue, and against her own feelings. The book became a New York Times bestseller and made her famous.
