Juliette Cross is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author renowned for her fantasy, paranormal, and contemporary romance novels. A native of Louisiana, she draws inspiration from the moss-laden trees and slow-moving bayous of her home, as well as the Gothic ambiance of nearby New Orleans. This rich cultural backdrop infuses her storytelling with a distinctive Southern charm and mystical allure.

Cross’s academic background includes a B.A. in creative writing from Louisiana State University and an M.Ed. in gifted education. She had the privilege of studying under the award-winning author Ernest J. Gaines during her graduate studies, an experience that honed her narrative skills and deepened her appreciation for complex characters and evocative settings. 

Since her debut in 2014, Cross has published multiple series that span various subgenres of romance. Notable among these are the “Stay a Spell” series, which blends humor and heart in a modern paranormal setting, and the “Vampire Blood” series, offering dark, fairy tale-inspired narratives. Her “Nightwing” and “Vale of Stars” series delve into dragon-shifter lore, while “The Vessel Trilogy” and “Dominion” explore apocalyptic battles between angels and demons. 

In addition to her writing, Cross co-hosts the podcast “Smart Women Read Romance” with her niece, Jessen. This platform allows her to engage with the romance community, discuss genre trends, and share her passion for storytelling.

Her latest novel, “Firebird,” released on April 8, 2025, marks the beginning of “The Fire That Binds” series. Set in an alternate Ancient Rome where patricians can transform into dragons, the story follows Julian Dakkia, a Roman general, and Malina, a Dacian dancer with a mysterious past. Their fated connection unfolds amidst political intrigue and supernatural warfare.
