Steven Erikson was born in Canada in 1959.
Erickson is best known for his epic Malazan Book of the Fallen series, which has been called the most exciting fantasy of its time. His first novel, Gardens of the Moon, is also the first book in the series. Characteristic of the author is that he likes to create characters that break with clichés. His writing style is characterized by the fact that he builds up several characters and involves them in complex plots.
