The Iron Fey series is the work of Julie Kagawa – a New York Times bestselling author. The books combine classic elements of the fantasy genre, including Celtic mythology and characters from William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, with innovative themes such as the technological evolution of magical beings.

The series was published by Harlequin Teen between 2010 and 2012 and includes four main novels and several additional novellas. Its success led to a follow-up trilogy – Call of the Forgotten – as well as the most recent installment, Evenfall, which expands and deepens the world of the Iron Fey.

The story follows Meghan, whose world is turned upside down just before her sixteenth birthday. After the mysterious disappearance of her younger brother, she discovers that she is the daughter of the Summer King of the fey – Oberon. This revelation thrusts her into a complex and dangerous realm populated by magical creatures, where two main courts reign – the Summer and the Winter Court.

However, a new and threatening power emerges between them – the Iron Fey – beings born from humanity’s technological advancement, which is poisoning the magic of the old world.
