A World of Intrigue

Saeris, our plucky heroine, hails from the oppressive city of Silver City. Trapped in a world of limited resources and strict rules, she’s forced to navigate a dangerous underworld to survive. When a daring heist goes awry, she’s thrust into the mysterious elven kingdom of Ivelia, where she’ll uncover ancient secrets and face deadly foes.

Silver City is a stark contrast to the lush forests and towering mountains of Yvelia. Saeris must quickly adapt to this new world, learning its customs and deciphering its complex political landscape. She’ll form unlikely alliances, confront powerful enemies, and discover a hidden strength she never knew she possessed.

Unforgettable Characters

Saeris is a refreshing take on the strong, independent heroine. She’s witty, sassy, and utterly fearless. Her chemistry with the brooding, enigmatic Kingfisher is electric, and their slow-burn romance is both frustrating and exhilarating.

Kingfisher is a complex character with a tragic past. He’s a skilled warrior and a master of illusion, but he’s also haunted by his own demons. As Saeris and Kingfisher delve deeper into their dangerous quest, they’ll learn to trust each other and uncover the truth about their own identities.

The supporting cast is equally captivating. Carrion Swift, the flamboyant thief, provides much-needed comic relief, while the complex political landscape adds depth to the story. Each character is unique and brings their own strengths and weaknesses to the story.

I gave everything I had, sacrificed every last thing I held dear, but this city is a beast that feeds on misery, and pain, and death, and it’s never full.

A Thrilling Adventure

Quicksilver is a non-stop thrill ride. The action is intense, the magic is fascinating, and the plot twists will keep you guessing. Callie Hart has crafted a richly detailed world with a unique magic system that seamlessly integrates into the narrative.

The magic system in Quicksilver is both powerful and mysterious. It’s based on ancient elven lore and requires a deep understanding of nature and the elements. Saeris will learn to harness this magic to protect herself and her loved ones, but she’ll also discover the dark side of its power.

A Love Story for the Ages

Saeris and Kingfisher’s relationship is a rollercoaster of emotions. Their banter is sharp, their passion is undeniable, and their love story is one for the books. Hart masterfully balances the romantic elements with the high-stakes adventure.

Their journey together is filled with challenges and obstacles, but their love for each other is unwavering. They’ll face betrayal, heartbreak, and the ultimate test of their loyalty.

Make me forget that I’ve ever suffered,” I commanded. “Make me forget that I will again.”

A Must-Read

Quicksilver is a stunning debut that will leave you wanting more. With its captivating characters, thrilling plot, and sizzling romance, it’s a must-read for fans of fantasy and romance alike. I can’t wait to see what Callie Hart has in store for us next!

Do not touch the sword.

Do not turn the key.

Do not open the gate.

In the land of the unforgiving desert, there isn’t much a girl wouldn’t do for a glass of water.

Twenty-four-year-old Saeris Fane is good at keeping secrets. No one knows about the strange powers she possesses, or the fact that she has been picking pockets and stealing from the Undying Queen’s reservoirs for as long as she can remember.

But a secret is like a knot.

Sooner or later, it is bound to come undone.

When Saeris comes face-to-face with Death himself, she inadvertently reopens a gateway between realms and is transported to a land of ice and snow. The Fae have always been the stuff of myth, of legend, of nightmares…but it turns out they’re real, and Saeris has landed herself right in the middle of a centuries-long conflict that might just get her killed.

The first of her kind to tread the frozen mountains of Yvelia in over a thousand years, Saeris mistakenly binds herself to Kingfisher, a handsome Fae warrior, who has secrets and nefarious agendas of his own. He will use her Alchemist’s magic to protect his people, no matter what it costs him… or her.

Death has a name.

It is Kingfisher of the Ajun Gate.

His past is murky.

His attitude stinks.

And he’s the only way Saeris is going to make it home.

Be careful of the deals you make, dear child.

The devil is in the details…

Dora

Hello, my name is Todora, but now also known as Dochka or Docheto. I have two wonderful dragons at home (boys ages 5 and 7) that I am trying to raise in the love of books. I was quite a chatterbox as a kid when I had required reading in school, and now I am trying to make up for it. I love reading fantasy, sweet endings are not my "thing". I love it when there are struggles, intrigue, and surprises in a book that shake you to your core. If I fell into paranoia that all the characters were traitors, my rating would be 5 stars. In short, I love to read and if one day I find a way to make this my sole occupation and get paid for it :D, I will have stumbled into heaven.
