PocketBook Verse Pro Color
Pocketbook has announced its new Verse Color Pro e-reader, which will be launched at the end of June. The device features a 6-inch E Ink Kaleido™ 3 color screen and offers a rich reading and audio experience. Its features include IPX8 water resistance, Bluetooth for audiobooks, text-to-speech, SMARTligth and a quad-core processor.

The Pocketbook Verse Color Pro has a 6-inch, high-resolution E INK Kaleido 3 color display and a Smartlight system for adjustable backlighting. The black and white resolution of the device is 1448×1072 and 300 PPI, while the color resolution is 536×724 and 150 PPI.
The PocketBook Verse Pro Color reproduces 4096 colors and shades for a comfortable, glare-free reading experience that resembles printed pages.
SMARTlight enhances the reading experience with customized light. You can adjust the lighting to your preferences by choosing between cool and warm tones. In manual mode, you set the brightness and color tones yourself, and in automatic mode, SMARTlight automatically adjusts the lighting to the time to create ideal reading conditions.
The device has a unique design with a recessed screen that prevents light reflection and reading control buttons below the screen.
Quad-core processor
The PocketBook Verse Pro Color has a powerful quad-core processor, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. This powerful processor ensures fast navigation between menus and pages for a perfect reading experience.
It has a G-sensor that automatically rotates the screen orientation. With Bluetooth 5.4, you can connect wireless headphones to the device and enjoy your favorite audiobooks.
Dual-band WiFi provides the internet connection. You can use it to surf the internet or connect to an online bookstore to buy a new book.
PocketBook Verse Color Pro is certified waterproof and can be submerged in fresh water up to 2 meters deep for up to 60 minutes. The device is suitable for an active lifestyle and can be read poolside or in the bathtub without worry thanks to the IPX8 protection that allows reading in all conditions.
The operating system
This is an e-reader with a Linux operating system. It’s very battery-friendly and is known for being very stable. You don’t have access to other apps like you do with Android, but Pocketbook is perfectly adequate due to the many eBook formats it supports. You can sideload files with the following extensions: ACSM, AZW, AZW3, CBR, CBZ, CHM, DJVU, DOC, DOCX, EPUB(DRM), EPUB, FB2, FB2.ZIP, HTM, HTML, MOBI, PDF(DRM), PDF, PRC, RTF, and TXT. If you prefer audiobooks, it supports M4A, M4B, OGG, OGG.ZIP, MP3 and MP3.ZIP.
The text-to-speech function is ideal for audiobook lovers and allows you to convert text files into voice output. This allows users to listen to books while driving or cooking without interrupting their reading. Verse Pro Color offers a variety of different male and female voices in 26 languages.
The device has a 2100 mAh battery, compact size and low weight.
